In Summer, Head for the Weeds

Found an interesting article about summer walleye fishing. Sure it's not the time when fishing is historically the strongest, but it's the time of the best weather, making it a great reason for us to get out there and give it a go. - Andrew Martinsen

"Working the outside or deep edge of a weed bed is usually a good bet and finding a big area of thin weeds in the middle of a thick weed bed can be a regular bonanza. The jig and minnow combination is a surprisingly weedless lure and it will go through pretty thick stuff. Many a strike will come just as you pull the jig off a weed.'
